Eric Samuel André (born April 4, 1983) is an American comedian, actor, and television host. He is also a writer, producer, and musician. Eric André is famous for creating and hosting The Eric Andre Show. This show is a funny and often silly comedy series on Adult Swim.
He has also played other well-known characters. These include Mike in the TV series Man Seeking Woman. He was also the voice of Luci in the Netflix show Disenchantment. You might also recognize his voice as Azizi in the 2019 movie The Lion King. Eric André also makes music under the name Blarf.

Early Life and Education
Eric André was born in Boca Raton, Florida, on April 4, 1983. His mother is from New York City and his father is an immigrant from Haiti. His father worked as a psychiatrist. Eric André shares that he is both Black and Jewish.
In 2001, he finished high school at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. This school is in West Palm Beach, Florida. After that, he went to Berklee College of Music in Boston. He studied there from 2001 to 2005. While at college, he played the double bass, which is a large string instrument.
Eric André's Comedy Career
Eric André started his comedy journey in 2003. He is the creator and host of The Eric Andre Show. This show is a funny take on public access talk shows. It airs on Adult Swim, which is part of Cartoon Network.
The show is known for its unexpected humor and funny pranks. It also features sketches and interviews with celebrities. Eric André has acted in other TV shows too. He was Mark in Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 on ABC. He also appeared as Deke in 2 Broke Girls.
From 2015 to 2017, he played Mike in the FXX comedy series Man Seeking Woman. He also voices Luci in the animated Netflix show Disenchantment. In 2020, his first stand-up comedy special, Legalize Everything, came out on Netflix. In 2021, he made and starred in the Netflix prank comedy film Bad Trip.
Personal Life
Eric André dated actress Rosario Dawson for a time. In 2021, he shared that he was in a relationship with someone he met at a farmer's market. She did not know he was famous when they first met.
Eric André has talked about his beliefs. He describes himself as an agnostic atheist. He also practices Transcendental Meditation. He supported Bernie Sanders in the 2020 presidential election.
