Erik Thomas von Detten (born October 3, 1982) is an American actor and singer. He is well-known for his roles in popular movies and TV shows. These include playing Sid Phillips in Toy Story and Toy Story 3. He also starred in the Disney Channel movie Brink! and was in The Princess Diaries. Erik also voiced Erwin Lawson in the cartoon series Recess.

Erik Thomas von Detten was born in San Diego, California. His mother, Susan, was a photographer. His father was Volker von Detten. Erik has three sisters named Dolly, Britta, and Andrea. He also has a brother named Timothy. His family background includes German, English, and Russian Jewish roots.
Acting Career Highlights
Erik von Detten started acting when he was young. One of his first big roles was on the TV show Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1993. He played a character named Nicholas Alamain.
Voice Acting and Famous Roles
In 1995, when Erik was 13, he voiced the character of Sid Phillips in the movie Toy Story. Sid was the toy-tormenting neighbor. This role became very famous. Erik also starred with Elisabeth Moss in Escape to Witch Mountain that same year.
He continued to appear in many films. In 1996, he was in Christmas Every Day. He played Wally Cleaver in the 1997 movie Leave It to Beaver. In 1998, he had the main role in the Disney Channel movie Brink!, where he played Andy 'Brink' Brinker.
