Her Early Life
Erika Ender was born in Panama City, Panama. Her dad was from Panama and the U.S., and her mom was from Brazil. Because of her family, Erika grew up speaking three languages: Spanish, Portuguese, and English. She can write, sing, and create songs in all three! Today, Erika lives in Miami, Florida.
Amazing Music Career
As a singer, Erika Ender has released five music albums. Three of these albums were released internationally. Her music includes different styles like pop, rock, and Latin American sounds. Many famous singers have performed songs written by Erika. These include Daddy Yankee, Chayanne, Gloria Trevi, Luis Fonsi, and Prince Royce.
Erika is also a very successful songwriter. Some of her popular songs include "Cheque Al Portador," "Abreme La Puerta," and "Sigo Caminando." These songs have topped the music charts and allowed her to perform in many countries.
A big moment for Erika as a songwriter happened in 2004. Her song "Cheque Al Portador" helped her compete in the International Song Festival of Viña del Mar. She was the first person to represent her home country, Panama, at this festival since it started in 1960!
In January 2017, the song "Despacito" was released. Erika co-wrote this song with Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi. The music video for "Despacito" has been watched billions of times! The song also reached number one on almost every Latin Billboard chart.
