Erwin Dudley's College Basketball Journey

Erwin Dudley was born in Uniontown, Alabama. He went to the University of Alabama for college. While playing basketball there, he became a star player. He was named an All-American by the Associated Press. He was also chosen as the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Player of the Year in 2002. Everyone agreed he was a top player in the SEC.

Dudley was amazing at getting rebounds. He led the Southeastern Conference in rebounding for three years in a row. Only Shaquille O'Neal had done that before him! He also holds a school record for starting 129 games. He is seventh all-time in scoring for his university. He is also fourth in rebounding. Dudley had 43 "double-doubles" in his career. A double-double is when a player gets double-digit numbers in two stats, like points and rebounds. This earned him the nickname "E-double double".

In 2005, he moved to Turkey and joined Türk Telekom in Ankara. He played there for five seasons. He continued to be a strong player, scoring and rebounding a lot. After Türk Telekom, he played for other big Turkish teams. These included Efes Pilsen and Beşiktaş.
