Ettore Bassi, whose full name is Ettore Francesco Maria Bassi, was born on April 16, 1970. He is a well-known Italian actor and television presenter.

About Ettore Bassi
Ettore Bassi loved magic from a young age. He even learned to be a magician and worked as an animator (someone who entertains people) at holiday resorts. When he was 19, he started acting classes at the Tangram Teatro in Turin.
In 1992, he was on a TV show called Il più bello d'Italia (The Most Handsome in Italy). He won the title for being the best talent! A year later, in 1993, he started presenting TV shows on Rai 1. His first show was La Banda dello Zecchino.
In 1994, Ettore began his acting career in a TV mini-series called Italian Restaurant. It was directed by Giorgio Capitani. For many years after that, he worked as both a TV presenter and an actor. He appeared in TV shows, photo-stories, movies, and plays.
In 2000, Ettore helped present the Jubilee World Youth Day alongside Pope John Paul II. This event was shown all over the world! He became very famous in Italy for playing Marshal Andrea Ferri in the TV series Carabinieri. He was on this show from 2002 to 2005.
In 2003, he won an award called Telegrolla d'oro for being the best actor in Italian TV shows. In 2005, he received the Agesp Prize for Best TV Fiction. This was at the Busto Arsizio Film Festival.
Ettore also loves car racing, a passion he got from his father. He even tried racing cars himself and had some success!
In 2005, he acted in two TV mini-series: Imperium: Saint Peter and Pope John Paul II. From 2006 to 2007, he played a children's doctor named Corrado Milani in the TV series Nati ieri. He even added some of his own magic tricks to his character!
In 2007, he played Giorgio Piromallo in the TV mini-series St. Giuseppe Moscati: Doctor to the Poor. He also played Saint Francis of Assisi in the TV mini-series Clare and Francis. In 2008, he won the Sant'Antonio International Award for his acting in this role.
In 2009, Ettore played the main character in the TV mini-series Mal'aria. In 2010, it was announced that he would join the police TV series Inspector Rex. He played Inspector Davide Rivera in the 14th and 15th seasons of Inspector Rex.
In 2014, he acted in the movie Maldamore. He also appeared in the TV series Fuoriclasse and È arrivata la felicità. In 2015, he presented the TV show Quando Mamma non c'è with his daughters.
Besides his TV work, Ettore has also been very active in theatre. He performed in plays like Il muro (The Wall), which was a rock opera inspired by Pink Floyd's music. He also won the Charlot Theatre Prize in 2015 for his role in Trappola mortale (Deathtrap). In 2017, he starred in the musical The Bodyguard - Guardia del corpo. He played Frank Farmer, the role that Kevin Costner played in the original movie.
