Eulaminna is a ghost town in Western Australia. It's located between the towns of Leonora and Laverton. You can find it along the Old Leonora Road. This area is part of the Shire of Leonora and the Goldfields-Esperance region.

History of Eulaminna
How the Town Started
In 1900, people started planning the town of Eulaminna. It was created to support the nearby Murrin Murrin Copper Mine. This mine was known as the Anaconda Copper Mine back then.
By 1903, the town was growing. It had 64 places for people to live. About 350 people called it home.
Town Life in the Early 1900s
Life in Eulaminna was busy. A police station opened in 1903. The town also had two hotels, two stores, a chemist, and a newsagent. There was a way to send mail, but no telegraph station yet.
Why the Name Changed
The town was first officially named Anaconda in 1904. But the name caused some problems. A company called WA Copper asked for a change in 1907.
There was confusion in London markets. People didn't know if copper shipments were from the mine in Eulaminna or from a famous mine called Anaconda in the United States.
So, in 1907, the town's name was changed. It became Eulaminna, which is an Aboriginal name for that area.
