Evelyn Hallman Pond is a cool, small lake found in Evelyn Hallman Park in Tempe, Arizona. It's a "man-made" lake, which means people built it, unlike natural lakes. You can find it west of Scottsdale Road and south of McKellips Road.

This pond gets its water from the nearby Cross Cut Canal. Because of where it's located, you usually need to enter the park from the east side to reach the pond.

Why the Name Evelyn Hallman?

The park and the pond got their new name in 2006. They were named after Evelyn Hallman. She was the mother of Hugh Hallman, who was the mayor of Tempe at that time. A mayor is an important leader who helps run a city. Naming the park after her was a way to honor her.
