Exuma is a special area, or district, in the country of Bahamas. It is made up of more than 360 islands! The biggest island is called Great Exuma. It is connected to another island, Little Exuma, by a small bridge.
The main town and capital of Exuma is George Town. The whole chain of islands stretches about 209 kilometers (130 miles) long. It covers an area of about 72 square kilometers (27 square miles).

Exuma has an interesting past. In 1783, people from the United States came to the islands. These people were called Loyalists. They were moving away after the American Revolutionary War.
