Färgelanda Municipality (Färgelanda kommun) is a local government area in western Sweden. It is part of Västra Götaland County. The main town and administrative center is Färgelanda.
This municipality was created in 1974. It brought together the "old" Färgelanda Municipality and Högsäter. The old Färgelanda had already joined with Ödeborg in 1967.
The municipality's coat of arms has a special meaning. It shows a harrow, which is a farm tool. This symbol comes from a very old medieval seal. It represents the importance of agriculture in the area.
