Becoming a Sculptor
Fabio Viale studied art at a special high school. After that, he went to the Accademia Albertina in Turin. This is a famous art academy. After finishing his studies, he started his professional career as a sculptor.

Floating Marble Boats
In 2002, Fabio Viale showed off his first incredible marble boat, which he named Ahgalla. This boat was not just a sculpture; it could really float! It even had an outboard motor to move it through the water. Ahgalla was launched in many Italian cities like Carrara, Turin, Rome, Milan, Venice, and Triest. It also traveled to Saint Petersburg and Moscow in Russia.
In 2009, Fabio Viale had a big art show in Saint Petersburg, Russia. More than 30,000 people came to see his work! At this show, he launched an even better version of his marble boat, called Ahgalla 2, on the Neva River.
Important Sculptures and Exhibitions
In 2010, Viale created a special monument called 'Cavour'. It was dedicated to Camillo Benso, an important historical figure in Italy. This sculpture is located at the Quirinal Palace in Rome.
The next year, in 2011, Fabio's sculptures were shown at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, Russia. In 2012, the 'Museo del Novecento' in Milan, Italy, displayed some of his most famous artworks. They even bought one of his sculptures for their permanent collection! That same year, he received an award from the Henreaux Foundation in Italy.

In 2013, Fabio Viale had a solo art show at the Sperone Westwater Gallery in New York City. The following year, in 2014, he won the 15th Cairo Prize in Italy, which is a very important art award.
In 2017, he received the 52nd international prize Le Muse. This award was given at the Salone del Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy.
In January 2018, Fabio Viale presented an exhibition called "Lucky Ehi". This show featured his version of 'La Pietà' by Michelangelo, but without the figure of Christ. It was first shown in Milan, Italy. A few months later, this artwork was moved and displayed in the sea near Lampedusa, Italy.
In July 2018, he opened a solo exhibition at the Glyptothek in Munich, Germany. He showed 11 sculptures there, many of them very large. At the same time, his huge 'Laocoonte' sculpture, which is made of white marble and looks like it's tattooed, was shown for the first time in Königsplatz in Munich. In 2019, he also took part in the 58th edition of the Biennale in Venice, Italy, which is a major international art event.
