Face My Fears is an awesome song by Japanese singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada and American musician Skrillex. It came out on January 18, 2019. How the Song Was Made
Hikaru Utada asked Skrillex to help with the music for Kingdom Hearts III. She knew he was a big fan of the game. She wanted him to remix her song "Chikai".
But Skrillex had a different idea. He suggested they make a brand new song together! Utada agreed to work with him and songwriter Poo Bear.
They made sure the song would fit perfectly with the Kingdom Hearts world. They even used the same musical key as another Kingdom Hearts song, "Passion". The song also uses the same chords as "Dearly Beloved". This is the famous music you hear on the main menu of the Kingdom Hearts games.
How Popular It Became
"Face My Fears" became very popular around the world. It reached the top of the Kugou New Song chart in China. It also topped 8 different digital music charts in Japan.
In Japan, the song was a big hit. It was the sixth best-selling single on the Oricon Weekly Singles chart. It also did well on the Oricon Combined Singles chart. The Japanese version of "Face My Fears" was the fourth most downloaded song on the Oricon Weekly Digital Singles chart.
