Amazing Awards and Recognition
Fairmont Preparatory Academy has received some important awards. These awards show that it is a great school.
Blue Ribbon School Award
For the 1990-1991 school year, Fairmont Private Junior High School won the Blue Ribbon Award. This is a very high honor for schools in the United States. School leaders received the award at the White House on March 25, 1991. George H. W. Bush, who was the President of the United States, and Lamar Alexander, the Secretary of Education, hosted the ceremony.
Strong Advanced Placement Programs
In 2008, the College Board recognized Fairmont Preparatory Academy. They said the school had one of the best Advanced Placement (AP) calculus programs in California. AP programs are college-level courses that high school students can take. If they do well, they might earn college credit.
School History
Fairmont Middle and High School opened in the 1993-1994 school year. It was later renamed Fairmont Preparatory Academy.
The Stanton Estate
The school is built on the land of the Stanton estate. This estate includes a beautiful house built in 1929. It was built by a person named Col. Philip A. Stanton. This house, called the Phillip Ackley Stanton House, became a special historical place on November 21, 1980. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Class Sizes at Fairmont Prep
Fairmont Preparatory Academy has smaller class sizes compared to many other schools. For example, at its Anaheim campus, there are about 13 students for every teacher. This means teachers can give more attention to each student.

Fairmont Private Schools is a large and old private school system. It was started in 1953. It is the biggest non-religious private school system in Orange County.

The Fairmont Schools system has five different campuses:

- North Tustin (for pre-kindergarten to 8th grade)
- Historic Anaheim (for preschool to 8th grade)
- San Juan Capistrano (for preschool to 8th grade)
Together, these schools aim to teach students a consistent program from preschool all the way through 12th grade.
