Fairview is a town located in Collin County, Texas, in the United States. It's part of the big Dallas-Fort Worth area, which is a group of many cities and towns close together.
In 2017, about 8,950 people lived there. By 2018, the number grew to an estimated 9,092. Fairview is right next to the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary. This amazing place is huge, covering about 289 acres!

Fairview's History
Fairview became an official town in 1958. On April 21, 1958, people asked the county judge to hold an election. They wanted to vote on whether Fairview should become an incorporated town.
The election happened on May 7, 1958. All 50 votes were counted. Because of the votes, Collin County Judge W. E. Button officially declared Fairview a town.
Where is Fairview Located?
Fairview is in the southwest part of Collin County, Texas. It has several neighbors! To the north, you'll find McKinney, Texas, which is the county seat.
To the west and south, Fairview is next to Allen, Texas. To the southeast, it borders Lucas, Texas. A stream called Wilson Creek also helps form part of Fairview's northeastern edge. This creek flows into the East Fork of the Trinity River.
The United States Census Bureau says Fairview covers about 22.5 square kilometers (about 8.7 square miles). Only a tiny part of this area, about 0.20%, is covered by water.
