Fairview is a small town in Cullman County, Alabama, United States. In 2020, about 543 people lived there. The town was officially created in 1968.
History of Fairview
Fairview was first settled in the 1840s. Back then, it was known as "Lawrence Chapel."
In the 1890s, the town changed its name to Fairview. This new name came from a local Methodist church.
By the early 1900s, Fairview was a busy place. It had several mills and even a popular resort hotel. The first high school in the town was finished in 1923.

Fairview is located in the northeastern part of Cullman County. You can find it at these coordinates: 34°14′55″N 86°41′16″W / 34.24861°N 86.68778°W.
The town is situated along State Route 69. This road connects Fairview to Cullman in the west and Arab in the east.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Fairview covers a total area of about 7.1 square kilometers (2.7 square miles). Only a very small part of this area, about 0.04 square kilometers (0.015 square miles), is water.
