Faline facts for kids
Faline is a beloved character from the famous story of Bambi. She is a female roe deer who first appears in Felix Salten's classic book, Bambi, A Life in the Woods. Later, she also shows up in the sequel, Bambi's Children.
Faline is best known as Bambi's special friend and later his mate. She also appears in the popular Walt Disney movies Bambi and Bambi II, which are based on Salten's books. In the stories, Faline's mother is Ena.
When we first meet Faline, she is a young fawn, just like Bambi. As the story goes on, she grows into an adult doe. Her role is very important as she becomes Bambi's closest friend and eventually his partner. Faline even made a guest appearance in the TV show House of Mouse.
Different actors have given Faline her voice in the movies. In the first Bambi film, she was voiced by Cammie King and Ann Gillis. For the movie Bambi II, Andrea Bowen provided Faline's voice.
