A Glimpse into Farley's Past
Farley has an interesting history. It was named after a special house called Farley House. This house was built by Captain Emanuel Hungerford. He arrived in New South Wales in 1828. Captain Hungerford bought a large property, about 2,000 acres (800 hectares). He named his new home Farley House. The name 'Farley' comes from his family's old home, Farleigh Hungerford, in England.
