Telarah is a suburb located in the city of Maitland, in New South Wales, Australia. It used to be called Homeville, but that name stopped being used in the 1950s. Telarah is an important place for trains because several railway lines meet there. These include the North Coast line, the South Maitland Railway system, and the Main North line.

A train station opened in Telarah in 1911. It is part of the NSW TrainLink's Hunter Line. This line offers services to nearby cities like Newcastle and Dungog. Telarah has its own fire station, a bowling club, a supermarket, a pharmacy, a takeaway shop, and a petrol station for its residents.

Telarah's Past

The Wonnarua people are the original traditional owners of the land where Maitland, including Telarah, is located. They have been the caretakers of this area for a very long time.
