Felipe Juan Froilán de Todos los Santos de Marichalar y Borbón, also known as Froilán, was born on July 17, 1998. He is the first child and only son of Infanta Elena, Duchess of Lugo, and Jaime de Marichalar. His grandparents are King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofía of Spain. This makes him the nephew of the current King, Felipe VI. He is fourth in the line of succession to the Spanish throne. His cousins, Leonor, Princess of Asturias, and Infanta Sofía of Spain, are ahead of him, as is his mother, Elena. Froilán has a younger sister named Victoria de Marichalar y Borbón.

Early Life and Education
Birth and Christening
Felipe de Marichalar y Borbón was born in Madrid, Spain, on July 17, 1998. He was christened on October 4, 1998, at the Zarzuela Palace. The ceremony was led by the Archbishop of Madrid. His godparents were his grandfather, King Juan Carlos of Spain, and his paternal grandmother, Concepción Sáez de Tejada.
School Days
Froilán attended Colegio San Patricio in Madrid until he was twelve. Later, his parents decided he should study at a boarding school in England. He spent some time at Cottesmore School in West Sussex. In 2011, he returned to Madrid to study at Colegio Santa María del Pilar. He completed his secondary school studies there, though he did need to repeat one academic year.
In the summer of 2014, he attended the Sagrada Familia Episcopal College in Sigüenza. He finished his secondary education there the following year. In September 2015, he moved to the United States to complete his high school education. He studied at Blue Ridge School in Virginia and later at Culver Military Academy. His grandfather, King Juan Carlos I, helped pay for his tuition.
After high school, he began his university studies in Madrid. He chose to major in Business Administration and Management.
Recent Activities
In 2022, police looked into a situation where Froilán was involved in a disagreement outside a nightclub in Madrid. In January 2023, it was announced that Felipe would move to the United Arab Emirates. He joined his grandfather, Juan Carlos I, there. Froilán began working for the ADNOC oil company. This company is owned by Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, who is a minister in the United Arab Emirates.

Felipe Juan Froilán de Todos los Santos de Marichalar y Borbón holds the title of Grandee of Spain. He is also known as Caballero Divisero Hijodalgo of the Illustrious Solar de Tejada.
