Felix Cooper Mallard is an Australian actor. He was born on April 20, 1998. Felix started his acting journey playing Ben Kirk in the TV show Neighbours. This was a popular soap opera in Australia.

Since then, he has acted in many other shows. He was in the CBS comedy Happy Together. He also starred in the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia. You might also know him from his roles in Locke & Key and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.

Growing Up in Australia

Felix Mallard grew up in Melbourne, Australia. He has one sister. He went to an all-boys school called Christian Brothers College. This school is now known as St Mary's College. Felix was a College Prefect there, which means he was a student leader.

In 2015, he finished his high school studies. He also took a course in Technical Production. Felix was very good at his Media subject in school.

Hobbies and Talents

Felix started fencing when he was ten years old. Fencing is a sport where people fight with swords. He was very good at it! He competed in state and national competitions. He even won two bronze medals in team events in 2012. In 2013, he placed 5th in a national fencing championship.

When Felix was 13, a modelling agent discovered him. He then signed with Vivien's Models. He appeared in several fashion campaigns.

Felix is also a talented musician. He plays the guitar, piano, and drums. He is a guitarist and singer in a punk rock band called Enemies Alike. His band has played at different places in Melbourne. They also performed at school music events.

Felix's Acting Journey

Felix Mallard started acting when he was 15 years old. This was in 2014. He got the role of Ben Kirk in the Australian TV show Neighbours. At first, it was only for a short time. He got the audition through his modelling agent. He didn't expect to get the part, but he did! This experience made him realize he wanted to be an actor.

He returned to Neighbours the next year for a longer time. He was still in school then. After finishing high school, Felix decided to act full-time. He became a regular cast member on Neighbours in 2016.

Music and Web Series

Felix's love for music was added to his character on Neighbours. He often played music on the show. In 2016, he also starred in an online spin-off called Xanthe ♥ Ben. This show had 20 episodes and was released on Instagram. He also appeared in a web series called Summer Stories.

Felix filmed his last scenes for Neighbours in late 2017. His character, Ben, moved to a new town to start fresh. His last episode aired on April 10, 2018. He made two more appearances on the show through video calls in late 2018 and early 2019. He also appeared in a music video for the band Maefire in 2016.

Moving to the United States

After leaving Neighbours, Felix acted in a short film. It was called Money Is Just a Barbell. He also helped produce the film and made its music.

In early 2018, Felix moved to the United States. He quickly got a role in a CBS comedy series. The show was called Happy Together. He played a pop star named Cooper James. He starred alongside Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens West.

The show Happy Together was inspired by the real-life experiences of English singer Harry Styles. Harry Styles lived with a TV producer and his family to escape the spotlight. This happened when his band One Direction became very famous. Harry Styles and James Corden even called Felix to convince him to take the role!

Happy Together started on October 1, 2018. However, it did not get very high ratings. CBS decided not to order more episodes. The show was cancelled on May 10, 2019.

Netflix Roles

Felix then played Lucas Caravaggio in the Netflix horror series Locke & Key. He played a 17-year-old friend who had died earlier. Filming for this show happened in the first half of 2019. It was released on February 7, 2020.

He also appeared in the romantic drama film All the Bright Places. This movie started filming in October 2018. Netflix also released it in February 2020. The film is based on a popular young adult novel.

In 2021, Felix had a role in the second season of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. This was a musical comedy-drama series on NBC. He played Zoey's neighbor, an Australian musician. His role included singing and dancing.

Ginny & Georgia Success

Felix plays Marcus, a main character, in the Netflix show Ginny & Georgia. Marcus is a 15-year-old with a bit of an edgy personality. For this role, Felix had to learn American Sign Language. This is because his character's father is deaf.

Filming for Ginny & Georgia took place in Toronto in late 2019. The series was released on February 24, 2021. The show was very popular! Over 52 million viewers watched the first season within 28 days. This made it one of Netflix's most-watched series.

Ginny & Georgia was renewed for a second season. It aired on January 5, 2023. After the second season came out, Ginny & Georgia was the most-watched show on Netflix from January to June 2023. Both seasons combined had over 967 million hours viewed! In May 2023, Netflix announced that the series would have a third and fourth season. The third season was released on June 5, 2025.

Later in 2021, Felix returned to Locke & Key for its second season. He appeared in the final episode. On June 27, 2025, it was announced that Felix Mallard would be in a new show called Goolagong. He will play the role of Roger Cawley.
