Felix the Cat is a fun video game that came out in 1992 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). A year later, in 1993, it was also released for the Game Boy. The company Hudson Soft made both versions. This game is all about the famous cartoon character, Felix the Cat!
Playing the Game
In Felix the Cat, you get to control Felix himself! Your main goal is to save his girlfriend, Kitty. She has been taken by the evil Mad Professor. You'll need to defeat him to rescue her.
The Game Boy version of the game is very similar to the NES version. However, the Game Boy game has fewer levels to play through.
How to Play
The game has simple controls. You use the A button to jump. If you press it many times, Felix can even fly or swim! The B button is for attacking enemies.
Felix's attacks change depending on his magic level. As you play, you'll find items that give Felix more magic power. These items also help him get back his health.
Staying in the Game
You lose a life if Felix falls into a deep pit. You also lose a life if you run out of time. Or, if Felix loses all his health, you lose a life too.
If Felix gets hit by an enemy, his magic power goes down. If his magic power is already at its lowest and he gets hit again, he loses a life.
Enemies and Worlds
You will face many different enemies in the game. These include moles, tree trunks, cannons, birds, and fish. Most enemies move back and forth in a regular pattern. Felix can shoot them to defeat them.
At the end of some levels, you will fight a boss monster. There are eight different boss monsters in total. The game has nine different worlds for you to explore!
