Fielding is a small town located in Box Elder County, Utah, in the United States. In 2010, about 455 people lived there. It's a quiet community known for its history and friendly atmosphere.
History of Fielding
The town of Fielding got its start a long time ago. A post office, which is where people send and receive mail, opened in Fielding in 1892. This means people were living and working in the area by then.
The town was named after a very important person, Joseph Fielding Smith, Sr. (1838–1918). He was the sixth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often called the LDS Church. The town's name specifically honors his mother's maiden name, which was Fielding.
