The Findlay Toyota Center is a large building in Prescott Valley, Arizona. It's a "multi-purpose arena," which means it can be used for many different kinds of events. It has seats for thousands of people!
This center opened in November 2006. Since then, it has hosted many exciting events. For example, it's a popular spot for high school sports. It hosts basketball and wrestling competitions from the Arizona Interscholastic Association. It has also been the place for fun monster truck shows.
The arena was once home to sports teams like the Arizona Outlaws (an indoor football team) in 2012. It also hosted the Arizona Sundogs, a hockey team, from 2006 to 2014. For a while, the arena was called "Tim's Toyota Center." This was because a local car dealership, Tim's Toyota, paid money to have their name on the building. This agreement ended in 2014, and the arena's name changed back to Prescott Valley Event Center before becoming Findlay Toyota Center.
What's Inside the Center?
The Findlay Toyota Center is a big sports and entertainment place in northern Arizona. It's one of the largest venues of its kind between Las Vegas and Phoenix, Arizona.
It has some cool features for visitors:
- There are 24 special "luxury suites." These are like private boxes where groups can watch events.
- It also has 400 "club seats," which offer a great view.
- There's plenty of parking space for about 3,000 cars.
- For concerts, the arena can fit up to 6,200 people!
Fun Events and Shows
The Findlay Toyota Center has hosted many famous performers and exciting events.
- Well-known bands like Chicago, Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, and ZZ Top have played concerts here.
- It hosted its first WWE wrestling event in 2007.
- When the local fair comes to town, the inside of the arena is used for displays.
The center has also hosted important college sports games. For example, in 2011, Brigham Young University played Northern Arizona in a college basketball game here.
From 2016 to 2020, the arena was home to the Northern Arizona Suns. This was a professional basketball team that was part of the NBA G League. They were connected to the Phoenix Suns, a famous NBA team. The Northern Arizona Suns played many games in Prescott Valley before moving to the Phoenix area.
