Finn Jones (born Terence Jones; 24 March 1988) is an English actor. He is well-known for playing Loras Tyrell in the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. He also starred as Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist, in several Marvel Cinematic Universe TV shows. These shows include Iron Fist, The Defenders, and Luke Cage.

Finn Jones' Acting Journey
Early Training and First Roles
Finn Jones studied acting for three years at the Arts Educational Schools. Before that, he was a student at Hayes School in Bromley. His acting career began in October 2009. He played a character named Jamie in the TV series Hollyoaks Later. Jamie was a young man who found love with Hannah Ashworth.
Jones later returned to the main Hollyoaks show in February 2010. This was part of Hannah Ashworth's storyline as she left the series.
Expanding His TV Appearances
In January 2010, Jones appeared in the TV show Doctors. He also had a role in two episodes of The Bill in April 2010. In The Bill, he played Mark Kennedy, the son of Commander Lisa Kennedy. Around the same time, he finished filming for an online drama called The Curfew. Channel 4 commissioned this show.
Jones also played Santiago Jones in The Sarah Jane Adventures. This show is a spin-off from Doctor Who. He appeared in the story called Death of the Doctor. In this story, he acted alongside Katy Manning and Matt Smith.
Big Roles in Fantasy and Superheroes
On June 19, 2010, it was announced that Jones would join Game of Thrones. This is a huge HBO series based on George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire books. Jones played the character Ser Loras Tyrell. He was a recurring character in 21 episodes of the show.
In February 2016, news came out that Jones was cast as Danny Rand / Iron Fist. This role was for the Marvel Television and Netflix series Iron Fist. This show is part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel officially confirmed his casting in March 2016. Jones played Iron Fist again in The Defenders and in the second season of Luke Cage.
In 2019, it was shared that Jones would join the second season of the Apple TV+ series Dickinson. In this show, he played Samuel Bowles.

Why He Changed His Name
Finn Jones' birth name is Terence Jones. He decided to change his name to avoid being confused with Terry Jones. Terry Jones was a famous member of the comedy group Monty Python.
Supporting Important Causes
In December 2015, Jones helped Oxfam campaigners. They were raising money to support Syrian refugees. He sang carols at a shopping centre in Islington to help with the fundraising. He also appeared with Jeremy Corbyn, who was the Leader of the Labour Party at the time. Jones later showed his support for Corbyn on Instagram.
