Firehouse Tales is an American animated TV show. It was created by Sidney J. Bailey. Warner Bros. Animation produced it for Cartoon Network. The show was part of Cartoon Network's old Tickle-U block for young children. It's all about three special firetrucks. They go to a firefighting school and learn how to be heroes!

Meet the Characters

Here are the main characters you'll meet in Firehouse Tales:

  • Red (voiced by Jesse Moss) – Red is a brave red firetruck. He is the main character and never gives up. Red loves being outdoors and making new friends. Sometimes, he leads the firetruck team. His siren is orange and yellow. Red's catchphrase is, "The sirens say help's on the way!"
  • Petrol (voiced by Michael Adamthwaite) – Petrol is an orange firetruck from Scotland. He can be a bit scared sometimes. But he always finds his courage when it matters most. Petrol has two blue sirens.
  • Crabby (voiced by Richard Cox) – Crabby is a yellow firetruck. He often complains about his job. Crabby prefers being inside, but he does enjoy the outdoors sometimes. He has two red sirens.
  • The Chief (voiced by Ron Halder) – The Chief is a dark blue firetruck. He leads Red, Petrol, and Crabby. He tells them what to do during emergencies. The Chief sometimes puts Red in charge of the team.
  • Stinky Bins (voiced by David "Squatch" Ward) – Stinky Bins is the green garbage truck of Green Meadows. He is used to his own smell. Stinky Bins also loves telling jokes.
  • Snooty-Tootie (voiced by Colin Murdock) – Snooty-Tootie is a black limo. He drives the Mayor around Green Meadows. He once taught the young firetrucks good manners.
  • Spinner (voiced by David A. Kaye) – Spinner is an orange helicopter. He sometimes doesn't take his job seriously.
  • Scoop – Scoop is a white seaplane. She carries water and can use it to put out fires.
  • Bubba (voiced by Blu Mankuma) – Bubba is a yellow bulldozer. He works outside the firehouse.
  • Wiser (voiced by French Tickner) – Wiser is a dark red tow truck. He can lift and help people from fires. Wiser also narrates all the stories in the show.
  • Tug (voiced by Michael Dobson) – Tug is a red and yellow fireboat. He is always ready to help with rescues.
  • Bulky (voiced by Terry Klassen) – Bulky is a blue blimp. He was decorated for Halloween in some episodes.
  • Zoe – Zoe is a red tow truck. She enjoys helping other cars.
  • Lorrie – Lorrie is a light blue Land Rover. She lives at the beach and is an old friend of Petrol.
  • Newsie – Newsie is a blue news truck. He loves filming events for TV.
  • Squirt - Squirt is the firehouse's pet Dalmatian dog.

Where it Aired

Firehouse Tales first showed on Cartoon Network in the United States. It premiered on August 22, 2005. The show was part of Cartoon Network's Tickle-U block. Later, it also aired on Cartoonito in the UK starting in 2006. You could also watch it in other countries. These included Greece on Star Channel and Hungary on RTL Klub. It also aired on RTP2 in Portugal.
