Where is Flagstaff Gully?
Flagstaff Gully is found in the hills just east of another suburb called Lindisfarne. You'll also find the Flagstaff Gully Reservoir in this area, which is a place where water is stored.
What is a Quarry?
There's a large quarry in Flagstaff Gully. A quarry is a place where rocks are dug out of the ground. This quarry digs up a type of rock called Dolerite. Dolerite is a strong, dark rock. It's often crushed into smaller pieces called "Blue Metal" gravel. This gravel is then used to build and repair roads.
