Flawless Shade is the stage name of Tajh Jordan (sometimes Tajh Patterson). She is an American drag performer and make-up artist who lives in Portland, Oregon. Flawless Shade was once crowned Miss Gay Oregon. She has also been part of projects for big brands like Adidas and GLAAD.
Jordan competed on the TV show Painted with Raven using her real name. This show is available on the streaming service WOW Presents Plus. She also helped create and appeared in the music video for "Fear." This song was the main single from Logic's 2024 album Ultra 85.

Early Performances and Community Work
In 2016, Flawless Shade was the first drag performer to compete in the Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic. This is a yearly bartending contest for LGBTQ bartenders from North America. She earned third place in the competition. Around 2017–2018, Flawless Shade hosted "Flawless Bingo" twice a week at Portland's Century Bar. This bingo event helped raise money for groups like Cascade AIDS Project.
By 2019, Flawless Shade was hosting drag shows at CC Slaughters. She also hosted karaoke at Capitol Bar and trivia at Victoria Bar. She led bingo games at "Thursgays," a monthly LGBTQ gathering at the arcade venue Quarterworld.
Recognitions and Challenges
Flawless Shade was one of six young queer influencers in Adidas's 2019 gay pride advertising campaign. She was named Miss Gay Oregon 2020. She is one of the few Black winners of this pageant title. During her time as Miss Gay Oregon, Flawless Shade faced some challenges. Her experiences, and those of others, led the International Sovereign Rose Court to look at how they could be more welcoming to everyone.
Community Involvement During the Pandemic
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Flawless Shade organized a special event for Portland Pride. It was called "Support Your Queer Black Entertainers." This event featured videos of local Black queer performers. It raised $2,000 to help these entertainers. She also took part in Portland Pride's "Introvert: Digital Drag Show." This was a drag show held online to support social distancing.
Flawless Shade was also featured in The Library. This was a web series about queer people in Portland. It was presented by Logan Lynn and Top Level Design for the internet address .gay. She represented Oregon in a video by GLAAD. This video featured drag queens from all 50 states and Washington, D.C. It encouraged people to vote in the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
Recent Performances and TV Appearances
As of 2021, Flawless Shade hosted and performed at Botanist House's drag show. She also helped host a tea dance for Portland Pride. She performed at Seattle's PrideFest in 2021. In 2023, she performed at the former Sissy Bar.
Tajh Jordan competed on the first season of Painted with Raven. This show is a makeup competition series on WOW Presents Plus. It features Raven and started in late 2021. Jordan was a runner-up on the show. In 2024, Jordan appeared both in and out of drag in the music video for "Fear." This song is the main single from Logic's album Ultra 85. Jordan also helped produce the video. The last shot of the video shows her "reclining on a chair, staring out a nighttime window after a high-energy show."

Tajh Jordan lives in Portland. She has described herself as a "Black gay genderfluid person who is a drag queen." As of 2021, Flawless Shade is a member of House of Shade.
