Flemington is a small town, called a borough, located in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. In 2010, about 1,330 people lived here.
The area was first settled in 1770 by Squire John Flemming. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. Flemming bought a large piece of land, about 1650 acres. This land was between Bald Eagle Creek and the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Much of what is now Flemington and Lock Haven was part of his land. The town was named after his family.
The Flemming family built a big house by the river. They were among the first people to settle in this area. They were also related to the Earl of Wigton from Scotland.
