Flirsch is a small community located in the Landeck area of Austria. It is part of the beautiful Tyrol state. Flirsch is about 11 kilometers (7 miles) west of the town of Landeck. It is also 10 kilometers (6 miles) east of Sankt Anton am Arlberg, a well-known ski resort.

The name "Flirsch" comes from an old language called Rhaeto-Romance. In 1813, Flirsch became its own independent community. This meant it could make its own decisions about local matters.
