Florin Andone (born 11 April 1993) is a professional footballer from Romania. He plays as a striker for the club Atlético Baleares.
Florin moved to Spain when he was 12 years old. He started playing football in Spain's lower leagues. Later, he made his professional debut for La Liga team Córdoba in 2014.
After playing for Deportivo La Coruña, he joined the Premier League team Brighton & Hove Albion. He also played on loan for Galatasaray and Cádiz. In 2022, he signed with Las Palmas.
Florin first played for the Romanian national team in June 2015. He was also part of the squad for the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.

Florin's Football Journey
Starting Out in Spain
Florin Andone was born in Botoșani, Romania. When he was 12, in 2005, he moved to Vinaròs, Spain. He joined his mother there after his father passed away.
He quickly joined the youth team of Vinaròs CF. In 2008, he moved to Castellón.
Florin played his first senior game on 16 January 2011. He came in as a substitute for Castellón. The team was in the Segunda División B, which is a lower division.
In 2011, Florin joined Villarreal. He played for their youth team and also for their C-team.
In 2013, he was loaned to Atlético Baleares. He scored 12 goals in 34 matches that season.
Playing for Córdoba
On 3 July 2014, Florin signed a three-year deal with Córdoba. He first played for their reserve team.
He made his professional debut on 3 December 2014. This was in a Copa del Rey match against Granada. He scored his first goal in the second game of that cup.
On 5 January 2015, Florin played his first La Liga game. He scored a goal in a 2–0 win against Granada. Later that month, he scored a goal after only ten seconds against Eibar. This was one of the fastest goals in the top league for his team.
In October 2015, he was named the Segunda División Player of the Month. He scored four goals that month.
In January 2016, Florin signed a new contract with Córdoba. He scored his first hat-trick (three goals in one game) on 3 April. He finished the season with 21 goals.
Moving to Deportivo La Coruña
On 22 July 2016, Florin joined Deportivo La Coruña. This was a top-flight club. He was given the number 10 jersey.
He made his debut on 19 August. He scored his first goal for the club on 5 November. He was named La Liga Player of the Month for December. He scored three goals and made two assists that month.
In August 2017, other clubs were interested in Florin. However, Deportivo La Coruña turned down offers for him. He scored six goals in the 2017–18 season.
Time at Brighton & Hove Albion
On 25 May 2018, Florin signed a five-year deal with Brighton & Hove Albion. He joined the Premier League team.
He scored for Brighton in his fourth game. This was a 2–1 win against Huddersfield Town. He scored again in the next match against Crystal Palace.
On 5 January 2019, Florin scored in his FA Cup debut. He also scored in a later FA Cup game. In August 2019, Florin received a red card in a Premier League match. He was banned for three matches after this.
Loan to Galatasaray
On 2 September 2019, Florin went on loan to Galatasaray in Turkey. He made his debut on 20 September.
He scored his first two goals for Galatasaray on 5 October. He scored a brace (two goals) in a 3–2 win.
Florin suffered an injury in November 2019. He later had another injury in June 2020. He then returned to Brighton. He scored 2 goals in 12 games for Galatasaray.
Back at Brighton
Florin returned to Brighton to recover from his injury. In September 2022, his contract with Brighton ended.
He returned to Spain on 23 August 2021. He joined Cádiz on a one-year loan.
Playing for Las Palmas
On 1 September 2022, Florin signed a one-season deal with Las Palmas. This team was in the Segunda División.
He helped them get promoted to the top league. He scored two goals during this time. He left the club in July 2023 when his contract ended.
Joining Eldense
On 30 July 2023, Florin signed a two-year contract with Eldense. This team had just been promoted to the second division.
Back to Atlético Baleares
On 1 November 2024, Florin signed a contract with Segunda Federación club Atlético Baleares. His contract is until June 2025.
Playing for Romania
Florin always dreamed of playing for the Romanian national team. This was true even though he lived in Spain for most of his life.
He was called up for a Euro 2016 qualification match in March 2015. He made his first full international appearance on 13 June 2015. This was in a game against Northern Ireland.
On 17 November 2015, Florin scored his first goal for Romania. It was a last-minute goal in a 2–2 draw against Italy.
He was chosen for UEFA Euro 2016 in France. He started in the opening game against France. He also played in two more games as a substitute.
Florin scored his second international goal on 5 September 2019. This was in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Spain.
