How Fon Works
Like many other languages, Fon has its own special rules. One important rule is how words are put together in a sentence. Fon uses a "subject–verb–object" word order.
Word Order Explained
What does "subject–verb–object" mean? It's simple!
- The subject is the person or thing doing the action.
- The verb is the action word.
- The object is the person or thing that the action is done to.
For example, in English, we say "I eat apples."
- "I" is the subject.
- "eat" is the verb.
- "apples" is the object.
Fon follows this same pattern. So, if you were to say "I eat apples" in Fon, the words would appear in that exact order. This makes it similar to English in some ways.
