Four Corners is a community in Gallatin County, Montana, United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP) because it is identified for gathering census information.
In 2020, the population of Four Corners was 5,901 people. This was a big jump from 3,146 people in 2010. Four Corners is also part of the larger Bozeman, MT Micropolitan Statistical Area. This means it is connected to the nearby city of Bozeman for economic and social reasons.
Location and Roads
Four Corners is located in the middle of Gallatin County. It is about 7 miles (11 km) west of Bozeman. The name "Four Corners" comes from a busy intersection where three important roads meet.
These roads are:
- U.S. Route 191
- Montana Highway 84
- Montana Highway 85
U.S. Route 191 goes east towards Bozeman. It also goes south for about 82 miles (132 km) to West Yellowstone. Montana Highway 84 heads west for about 29 miles (47 km) to Norris. Montana Highway 85 goes north for about 9 miles (14 km) to Belgrade and Interstate 90.
Land and Water
The Four Corners community covers a total area of about 10.84 square miles (28.07 square kilometers). Most of this area is land.
The Gallatin River flows along the western edge of Four Corners. This river flows north and is a branch of the Missouri River.
