Fox Chase is a small city in Bullitt County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is known as a home rule-class city, which means it has the power to govern itself on local matters. The city was officially started by the state government in 1983. In 2020, the population of Fox Chase was 436 people. This was a slight decrease from 447 people in 2010.
Geography of Fox Chase
Fox Chase is located in the northern part of Bullitt County. It is about 16 miles (26 km) south of downtown Louisville, a much larger city. Interstate 65, a major highway, runs along the west side of Fox Chase. The closest exit to the city is Exit 121 (John Harper Highway), which is about 0.5 miles (0.8 km) north.
The city is surrounded by other communities. To the north, southeast, and west is the city of Hillview. To the east, you'll find the city of Hebron Estates. West of Interstate 65 is the unincorporated area of Brooks.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Fox Chase covers a total area of about 1.0 square kilometer (0.39 square miles). Most of this area, about 0.99 square kilometers (0.38 square miles), is land. A small part, about 0.02 square kilometers (0.01 square miles), is water.
