Foxdale is a small countryside area in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, Australia. It is known as a rural locality. In 2021, about 99 people lived in Foxdale.

Where is Foxdale?
Foxdale is a farming area. It is located to the northwest of a town called Proserpine. The Proserpine River flows to the southwest of Foxdale. To the west, you can find the Bruce Highway and the North Coast railway line.
Long ago, Foxdale had its own railway station. It was called Foxdale railway station (20°21′43″S 148°33′19″E / 20.3619°S 148.5552°E). However, this station is no longer in use today.
A Look Back in Time
The name "Foxdale" comes from an early settler. His name was Isaac Alexander Fox. He was an important person in the area's history. Isaac Alexander Fox passed away in 1918. He is buried in the Proserpine Cemetery.
A school for children opened in Foxdale a long time ago. It was called Foxdale Provisional School. It first opened on June 2, 1904. Later, on January 1, 1909, it became Foxdale State School. The school taught children in the area for many years. However, it closed down in 1972.
