Early Life and Beginnings
Francis Magee was born in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up on the Isle of Man, which is an island located between Great Britain and Ireland. Before becoming an actor, he worked as a fisherman for eight years.
Later, he moved to London and studied acting at the Poor School in King's Cross, London. In the 1980s, he was also the lead singer for two bands: Joe Public, based on the Isle of Man, and Jo Jo Namoza, from Reading.
