Frederick Aaron Savage, born on July 9, 1976, is an American actor and director. He is most famous for playing Kevin Arnold in the TV show The Wonder Years (1988–1993). He also played the Grandson in the movie The Princess Bride. You might also know his voice as Oswald in the cartoon series Oswald.
Fred Savage has won several awards, like the People's Choice Awards and Young Artist Awards. Besides acting, he has directed many popular TV shows. He also starred in the sitcom Crumbs and later returned to acting in shows like The Grinder and the Netflix series Friends from College.

Early Life and School
Fred Savage was born in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Glencoe, Illinois, before his family moved to California. His younger brother, Ben Savage, is also an actor. His younger sister, Kala Savage, is an actress and musician. His grandparents came from different countries in Europe, including Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Latvia. He was raised in the Jewish faith.
Fred went to Brentwood School, a private school in Los Angeles County. After high school, he went to Stanford University. He graduated in 1999 with a degree in English.

Acting Roles
Fred Savage started acting when he was nine years old. His first TV show was Morningstar/Eveningstar. He then appeared in movies like The Boy Who Could Fly and Dinosaurs!. He also appeared in TV shows such as The Twilight Zone.
He became well-known for his role as the Grandson in the 1987 film The Princess Bride. In this movie, he acted alongside Peter Falk.
In 1988, Fred Savage began his most famous role as Kevin Arnold in The Wonder Years. He was only 13 years old when he received nominations for Golden Globe and Emmy awards for this role. He was the youngest actor ever to get these honors. He stayed on the show until it finished in 1993.
While on The Wonder Years, he also starred in movies like Vice Versa (1988), Little Monsters, and The Wizard. After The Wonder Years, Fred went back to high school and then to college.
Later, he had roles in other TV shows. He appeared on Boy Meets World, which starred his brother Ben. He also had guest roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and was in the movie Austin Powers in Goldmember.
