History of Frost, Texas
Frost was started in 1899 by a man named Miles Frost. He set up a trading post for farmers in north central Texas.
The town officially began in 1881. This happened when the St. Louis Southwestern Railway built its tracks through the area. The railroad was going from Corsicana to Hillsboro. The town was named after Samuel R. Frost. He was a lawyer for the railroad and an important local leader.
