An unincorporated community is a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Frost is also home to a special place called Mountain Quest Institute.
The name "Frost" comes from how often it gets frosty there! Because the area is quite high up, it often experiences chilly conditions and frost.
