Gabriel Davis (born April 1, 1999) is an American professional football player. He plays as a wide receiver, which means he catches passes from the quarterback. Gabriel played college football for the UCF Knights. The Buffalo Bills picked him in the 2020 NFL Draft. People sometimes call him "Big-Game Gabe" because he plays really well in important games.

Early Life and High School Football

Gabriel Davis grew up in Sanford, Florida. He went to Seminole High School. While there, he was a star on the football team. In his final year, he caught 69 passes for 1,347 yards. He also scored 17 touchdowns. This amazing performance earned him top honors in Florida. After high school, he decided to play college football at the University of Central Florida (UCF).

College Football Career

Gabriel started playing for the UCF Knights in 2017. Even as a freshman, he started every game. He caught 27 passes for 391 yards and four touchdowns that year.

In 2018, his second year, he continued to play a big role. He caught 53 passes for 815 yards and scored seven touchdowns. By his junior year in 2019, Gabriel was a top player. He caught 72 passes for 1,241 yards. After this successful season, he decided to enter the 2020 NFL draft to become a professional player.

Professional Football Career

Joining the Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills chose Gabriel Davis in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was the 128th player picked overall. He signed a four-year contract with the team.

2020 Season Highlights

Gabriel quickly made an impact in his first year. In Week 2, he scored his first professional touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. He caught a six-yard pass from quarterback Josh Allen. Later, in Week 12, he caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from another wide receiver, Cole Beasley. This was a special play! Gabriel finished his rookie season with 35 catches for 599 yards and seven touchdowns.

In the playoffs, Gabriel helped the Bills win their first playoff game in 25 years. He caught four passes for 85 yards against the Indianapolis Colts.

2021 Season Highlights

Gabriel continued to improve in 2021. In Week 10, he had a season-high 105 receiving yards against the New York Jets. He played in 16 games and started four of them. He ended the season with 35 catches for 539 yards and six touchdowns. The Bills won their division for the second year in a row.

In the playoffs, Gabriel had an amazing game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He caught eight passes for a career-high 201 yards. He also scored an NFL record four receiving touchdowns in that single playoff game! He became one of only nine players in NFL history to gain over 200 receiving yards in a playoff game.

2022 Season Highlights

In 2022, Gabriel had another strong season. In Week 5, he had 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He made a spectacular 98-yard touchdown catch, which was the longest in Bills history! He also had an amazing one-handed catch for a 62-yard touchdown. He finished the season with 48 catches for 836 yards and seven touchdowns.

In the playoffs, he caught six passes for 113 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins.

2023 Season Highlights

Gabriel was named one of the Bills' team captains before the 2023 season. In Week 5, he had 100 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He scored a touchdown in four straight games during this period. In Week 16, he caught four passes for 130 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers. He ended the 2023 season with 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns.

Joining the Jacksonville Jaguars

On March 13, 2024, Gabriel Davis signed a three-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, his 2024 season ended early. On November 18, 2024, his coach announced that Gabriel would miss the rest of the season. He had a torn meniscus in his left knee. He finished the 2024 season with 20 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns.

On May 7, 2025, the Jaguars released Gabriel Davis. This decision was likely due to concerns about his knee injury. Also, other players like Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter were performing well.

Personal Life

Gabriel Davis was raised by his mother, Alana Davis. He has two siblings, a brother named Jordan and a sister named Kayla. Growing up in Central Florida, Gabriel was a big fan of the Orlando Magic basketball team.
