Galaxy Goof-Ups is a fun animated TV show that first aired in 1978. It's a spin-off from another show called Yogi's Space Race. Hanna-Barbera Productions made the series, and it was shown on NBC. Each episode was about 30 minutes long.

The show follows a group of space patrolmen known as the "Galaxy Goof-Ups." This team includes popular characters like Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound. They also have two unique friends, Quack-Up and Scare Bear. Their leader is Captain Snerdley.

Even though they are space patrolmen, the Galaxy Goof-Ups are very clumsy. They often mess up their missions! But somehow, they always manage to succeed in the end. When they are not on duty, they love to hang out at disco clubs.

Galaxy Goof-Ups first appeared as a part of Yogi's Space Race. It was the most popular part of that show. Because it was so liked, it got its own half-hour time slot. This happened in November 1978. The show has been shown again on many channels. These include USA Cartoon Express, Nickelodeon, TNT, Cartoon Network, and Boomerang.

Meet the Galaxy Goof-Ups Characters!

The main characters of the "Galaxy Goof-Ups" are Yogi Bear, Scare Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and Quack-Up. They were all part of the Space Race show. But two new characters were made just for this series:

Captain Snerdley

Captain Snerdley is the boss of the Galaxy Goof-Ups. He has to deal with their silly mistakes all the time. Even though they are clumsy, they somehow always solve their cases. In one episode, he even put a special lock on new equipment. This was to stop them from touching it!

General Bullhorn

General Bullhorn is Captain Snerdley's boss. He doesn't know how clumsy the Goof-Ups are. So, he often blames Captain Snerdley when things go wrong. In one episode, he even took away Snerdley's medals for every mistake the team made!

The Voices Behind the Characters

Many talented voice actors brought the characters to life. Here are some of the main voices you would hear:

  • Daws Butler voiced Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound. He also played a character called Son.
  • Joe Besser was the voice of Scare Bear.
  • Mel Blanc voiced Quack-Up.
  • John Stephenson played Captain Snerdley and General Blowhard. He also voiced Papa.
  • Don Messick voiced Tacky Cat and Space-Spider.
  • Ted Cassidy was the voice of Drako.
  • Janet Waldo voiced a female Yogi look-alike.
