Marcos Aurélio Galeano, born on March 28, 1972, is a Brazilian former professional footballer. He was known simply as Galeano during his playing days. Galeano played as a centre-back (a defender) or a midfielder (a player in the middle of the field).
He spent most of his career playing for the Brazilian club Palmeiras. After he stopped playing football professionally, Galeano returned to Palmeiras in April 2010. He joined the club's staff, working as a football supervisor.

Galeano started his professional football career in 1989 with Palmeiras. He played for them for many years, until 2002. During this time, he also had short loan periods with other clubs. These included Rio Branco in 1993 and Juventude from 1994 to 1995.
Playing for Different Teams
After leaving Palmeiras in 2002, Galeano played for several other teams. He joined Botafogo in Brazil. In 2003, he moved to Japan to play for Gamba Osaka. Later that year, he played for Ankaragucu in Turkey.
