Gavin Kirk McCallum (born August 24, 1987) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays as a left-back, which means he plays on the left side of the defense.

Gavin McCallum's Club Journey

Gavin McCallum started his soccer career in 2005 with Yeovil Town. He signed a contract with them in January 2006.

Early Loan Spells

Gavin went on loan to several clubs to gain more experience. In August 2006, he joined Tamworth for two months. Later, in November 2006, he played for Crawley Town on loan.

In March 2007, he joined Dorchester Town for a month. He quickly showed his skills, scoring two goals in a 3–2 win against Thurrock. He ended up scoring five goals in 15 games for Dorchester Town. After these loans, he also played for Weymouth and Havant & Waterlooville.

Playing for Sutton United and Hereford United

Before the 2008–09 season, Gavin joined Sutton United. He scored a goal just twelve minutes into his first game! He played 54 games for Sutton United, scoring 19 goals.

In August 2009, Gavin moved to League Two team Hereford United. He had impressed them during a trial.

Time at Lincoln City

In the summer of 2010, Gavin signed a two-year deal with Lincoln City. He played his first game for Lincoln City in August 2010.

He scored his first goal for Lincoln in January 2011. About three weeks later, he scored the winning goal in a close 2–1 away game against Bradford City. He dedicated this goal to his father.

In May 2011, Lincoln City decided to let many players go after their team was moved down a league. Gavin was one of those players.

Loan to Barnet and Return to Woking

In November 2011, Gavin went on loan to League Two club Barnet. He left Lincoln City for good in January 2012.

He then joined Woking before the 2012–13 season. He was released from Woking at the end of that season.

Gavin returned to Woking for pre-season training. His manager, Garry Hill, told him he needed to get fitter. Gavin worked hard and signed another one-year contract with Woking.

However, in October, he was put on the transfer list. This meant Woking was looking for another club to buy him. In December 2013, Woking let him go so he could rejoin his old club, Sutton United.

Later Career Clubs

To get more playing time and improve his fitness, Gavin joined Tonbridge Angels on a one-month loan in December 2013. Even though Tonbridge Angels wanted him to stay longer, Sutton United called him back.

In June 2014, he joined Eastbourne Borough. He played there for several years until June 2018, when he signed with Welling United.

Later, in October 2020, Gavin joined Dartford. His most recent move was to Bognor Regis Town in June 2021.
