Geeta Kapur (born 5 July 1973) is a famous Indian choreographer and television personality. She is well-known for her amazing dance moves and for judging popular dance reality shows. You might have seen her on shows like India's Best Dancer, where she judges alongside actress Sonali Bendre and choreographer Terence Lewis.

Geeta Kapur's Dance Journey
Geeta Kapur began her dance career at a young age. When she was 17, she joined the dance group of the famous Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan. She learned a lot from Farah Khan.
Working with Farah Khan
Geeta later helped Farah Khan choreograph many popular films. Some of these movies include Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Main Hoon Na. She also worked on the musical Bombay Dreams in 2004.
Becoming a Lead Choreographer
After assisting, Geeta started leading the choreography for many Bollywood films herself. She created dance routines for movies like Fiza (2000), Asoka (2001), and Saathiya (2002). She also choreographed songs like 'Sheila Ki Jawani' from Tees Maar Khan (2010). Besides films, she has choreographed big events. These include award ceremonies and concerts like Temptation Reloaded. She even choreographed the opening ceremony of Pepsi IPL 2013.
Early Dance Roles
Before becoming a lead choreographer, Geeta was a background dancer. She appeared in many song sequences. For example, she danced in 'Dum Tara' by Suchitra Krishnamoorthi. She also danced in 'Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaye' from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Another song she danced in was 'Gori Gori' from Main Hoon Na. She often used a mix of classical and modern dance styles.

Geeta Kapur became a well-known face on television. She started judging dance reality shows. This made her very popular with audiences.
Judging Dance India Dance
Her first TV show as a judge was Dance India Dance (season 1) in 2008. This show was on Zee TV. She judged alongside choreographers Terrence Lewis and Remo D'Souza. Mithun Chakrabarty was the grand master of the show. Geeta trained a group of dancers called "Geeta Ki Gang."
She returned as a judge for season 2 in 2009. She continued to mentor contestants in various dance forms. These included ballet, acrobatics, contemporary, Bollywood, and hip-hop.
Other Dance Shows
Geeta also appeared on DID Li'l Masters. This show featured young dancers. Her mentor, Farah Khan, was a judge on this show. Geeta also judged DID Doubles and the third season of Dance India Dance. In 2012, she judged DID Lil Masters (season 2) and Dance Ke Superkids. She judged Dance Ke Superkids with Farah Khan and Marzi Pestonji.
Currently, she is a judge on Super Dancer Chapter 4. She judges this show with Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Anurag Basu.
