Carpigiani Gelato University is a special school in Anzola dell'Emilia, Bologna, Italy. It teaches people from all over the world how to make delicious "Italian-style" gelato. This school was started in 2003 by Carpigiani, a company famous for making gelato machines. Its main goal is to share the art of making perfect gelato.

How the Gelato University Started

The Carpigiani company began a long time ago. In 1944, the Carpigiani brothers invented the "Autogelatiera." This was their first machine that could make gelato automatically! The Carpigiani Group was officially formed in 1946. Many years later, the company decided to teach others how to make amazing gelato. This led to the opening of Carpigiani Gelato University in 2003.

The main campus of Carpigiani Gelato University is located in Bologna, Italy. But you don't have to go all the way to Italy to learn! The university also offers classes in 12 other countries. Some of these places include Dubai, São Paulo, and Kuala Lumpur. Classes are taught in different languages. You can learn in Italian, English, French, or German.

The university has more than 500 different courses. These courses are for everyone, from beginners who have never made gelato to experts. Classes can be short, lasting just a few days, or longer, up to five weeks. Students learn many things, from hands-on practice making gelato to understanding the food science behind it. Many students from around the world come here to learn new skills and improve their gelato-making knowledge.
