History of Gelato University
The Carpigiani company has a long history with gelato. In 1944, the Carpigiani brothers invented their first automatic machine for making gelato. This machine was called the "Autogelatiera". The Carpigiani Group was officially formed in 1946. Many years later, the company decided to share their knowledge. They wanted to teach others the special art of making gelato. So, in 2003, they opened the Carpigiani Gelato University.

The main campus of Carpigiani Gelato University is located in Bologna, Italy. But you don't have to travel all the way to Italy to learn!
