Gerald Anthony Robinson Jr. (born February 10, 1989) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a point guard and shooting guard. Gerald is 1.85 meters (6 ft 1 in) tall. He currently plays for Rimini in the Italian Serie A2 league. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for Tennessee State and Georgia.

Playing in College
Gerald Robinson played college basketball for two different teams. From 2007 to 2009, he played for the Tennessee State Tigers. This team is part of Tennessee State University.
Later, from 2010 to 2012, he joined the Georgia Bulldogs. This team represents the University of Georgia.
Professional Basketball Career
Gerald Robinson started his professional basketball journey in 2012. He has played for many teams in different countries.
Early Career in Europe
Robinson began his pro career in Belgium with the Leuven Bears. In July 2013, he played for the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2013 NBA Summer League. This is a special event where teams try out new players.
In August 2013, he signed a one-year deal with Gilboa Galil in Israel. The next year, on August 25, 2014, he joined VEF Rīga, a strong team in Latvia. With VEF Rīga, he helped them win the Latvian League championship in 2015.
Moving to France and Germany
On July 1, 2015, Robinson signed with the French club JSF Nanterre. After that, on March 30, 2017, he moved to ALBA Berlin in Germany. This team plays in the Basketball Bundesliga, Germany's top league.
Later in 2017, on July 6, Robinson signed with AS Monaco. While playing for Monaco, he won the French League Cup in 2018.
Recent Teams and Achievements
In October 2019, Robinson signed with Promitheas Patras in Greece. In January 2020, he moved to Frutti Extra Bursaspor in Turkey.
In August 2020, he joined Virtus Roma in Italy. However, the team had financial problems and left the league. This made Robinson a free agent. In December 2020, V.L. Pesaro signed him for a short time to replace an injured player. He even played in the Italian Cup final with Pesaro.
After his time in Italy, Robinson returned to France. He signed with JDA Dijon Basket until the end of the 2021 season. On September 3, 2021, he signed with Niners Chemnitz in Germany.
Later in 2021, on November 28, Robinson moved back to Italy. He joined Dinamo Sassari, playing in both the Italian league and the Basketball Champions League. In 2022, he led the Italian League in steals, showing his great defensive skills. From 2023 to 2024, he played for Scafati Basket. Currently, he plays for Rinascita Basket Rimini in Italy.
