How Gibraltar Got Its Name
The community of Gibraltar is named after the famous Gibraltar located south of Spain. It's interesting how places can share names across the world!
Early Days as Seideltown
Before it was called Gibraltar, this area had another name: Seideltown. This name came from the Seidel family. They were descendants of Ernst Seidel, who came from Sweden.
