Gilbert is a small town located in Mingo County, West Virginia, in the United States. It sits right by the Guyandotte River. In 2020, about 333 people lived there.
The town became official in 1918. It's named after Gilbert Creek, which got its name from an early traveler who explored the area long ago. Gilbert is super famous for the Hatfield-McCoy ATV Trails. These trails bring many visitors who love to ride ATVs. Because of this, you can find many places to stay and eat in Gilbert.
On July 1, 2023, the town showed off its new flag. It's called "The Star of Bright Promise." This flag was chosen after a design contest that lasted for months.
