Gildford is a small community in Hill County, Montana, United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP). In 2010, about 179 people lived there. By 2020, the population was 141.
The town got its name from Guildford, a town in England. A long time ago, from 1915 to 1951, Gildford had a flour mill. This mill made something called Golden Grain Flour.

Gildford is located in the western part of Hill County. You can find it at these coordinates: 48°34′11″N 110°17′50″W / 48.56972°N 110.29722°W. U.S. Route 2 runs along the southern edge of the community. This road can take you about 29 miles east to Havre, which is the main town of the county. If you go west on the same road, you'll reach Shelby, about 74 miles away.

Gildford has a history of changing its school districts to serve students better. Originally, Gildford had its own public school system. In 1971, it joined with Kremlin to create the K-G School District. At that time, the junior and senior high schools were located right in Gildford.
Later, before the 2005-2006 school year, the K-G School District merged again. This time, it joined with the nearby Blue Sky School District. This new, larger district is called the North Star Public School District. Today, the elementary school for the North Star district is in Gildford. However, the junior and senior high schools are now located in Rudyard, Montana. The school's mascot is the Knight, and their colors are black, royal blue, and white.
