Glassmanor is a community located in Prince George's County, Maryland, in the United States. It is known as a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's an area that the United States Census Bureau defines for counting people, even though it's not an official town or city with its own local government.
As of the 2020 census, about 18,430 people lived in Glassmanor. In earlier censuses (1990 and 2000), Glassmanor was counted together with a nearby community called Oxon Hill. Before that, in 1980, Glassmanor was counted separately and had a population of 7,751.
The first Glassmanor apartments were built around 1950 by the Glassman company. They were located just outside the southeast part of Washington. In the mid-1950s, the Eastover shopping center was built nearby. More apartment buildings were added in the 1960s. U.S. Senator George McGovern, who ran for president in 1972, lived in Glassmanor for a short time when he was a new congressman.

Glassmanor's Location and Borders
Glassmanor covers an area of about 6.1 square kilometers (2.3 square miles), and all of it is land.
The community is surrounded by several other places:
- To the northwest, it borders Washington, D.C..
- To the west, it's next to the town of Forest Heights.
- To the south, you'll find Oxon Hill.
- To the southeast, it borders Temple Hills.
- To the east, it's next to Marlow Heights.
- To the northeast, it borders Hillcrest Heights.
The Capital Beltway (Interstate 495/95) forms the southern edge of the Glassmanor community.
