A Look Back at Glen Acres
Glen Acres has an interesting past. In 1917, it had its own post office. Before it was called Glen Acres, it had two other names. People knew it as "Vermontville" and "Aquarium." The post office officially became "Glen Acres" in 1914. This was a few years before it opened.
Glen Acres also had a busy dock. In 1916, a special boat used this dock. It was a steamer called the Daily. Steamboats were important for travel back then. They helped people and goods move around.
