Glenmoore is a small, unincorporated community located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. An unincorporated community is a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Glenmoore is part of the larger Philadelphia Metropolitan Area.
A Look Back in Time
This historic community is found within Wallace Township. From 1971 to 2014, it was home to the Upattinas School and Resource Center.
Glenmoore was also the birthplace of William Moore McClure. He was a colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War. This was a very important war in American history.
Some people say Glenmoore has "the smallest church in the world." The downtown area is very small. It has an intersection with no traffic lights. You can find one antiques shop next to a convenience store there.
